It is strange how it is produced in Utah. Montana is more of a "northern" atmosphere, were Utah is more of a southern desert climate.

I will note that Utah scenic rides are amazing. I never knew how beautiful it is.

My son was in Utah in 2018. Here's a couple of pics he took while exploring the area:

Exactly. A lot of the rides in Utah are fantastic and the rocks seemed orange.

They haven't shown those Utah orange rocks on Yellowstone. It's still strange how they picked that location for the filming.

I agree. Utah does touch 6 states including Colorado and Wyoming. I am sure near those states the Utah terrain is similar.

Yea, you have a point there about how it is on the border of those states.

BTW- I watched the 2 hour premier tonight of Yellowstone. A lot of action, especially the start of the first 2 hours. You said you had a couple questions to ask me about the show?

Q1: Can a rattlesnake bite kill a person in less than a minute?

Q2: When she got burned, it looked like her arms etc were in bad shape. Yet later, she wore blouses etc which showed no scars (until the end of the episode we saw her back)?

The answer to both question is that in Hollywood, they can do anything and get away with it. For the snake, the quickness of his death doesn't happen in reality.
“The length of time it takes for you to die all depends on how everyone’s individual body. Every body copes differently; is able to handle toxins differently,” Hanna cites.

“But you would not die within a minute or so. Even somebody who’s highly susceptible to it. It just takes a lot longer to work on your body than a neurotoxin,” he says of the Yellowstone fatality.
Beth should not have even survived that blast. But once again, Hollywood...
Kelly Reilly was convinced she wouldn’t be returning as Beth Dutton after the shocking events of the last installment.

“We see that Beth survived something that she should not have survived,” she revealed.

“And there’s some sort of omnipotent, power, life force that she comes out of that building with.”
Beth came out of that building looking like a zombie on Walking Dead.

I like the realism of the show and those 2 events made me realize it is all Hollywood per usual. The attraction of the show is the stark reality of it.

The shootout in the first episode was wild. Lots of bullets and automatic weapons fired. I do see the similarity to the old Dallas or the new one aired a few years ago. Yellowstone is more raw and Beth is like a even tougher Sue Ellen. LOL

Beth is a real toughie. I think her bro is in big big trouble after her threat. Plus, she has Cole Hauser on her side.

Beth's brother isn't even a blood brother. He was given away by his real father, who we've seen in the past few episodes. I did hate to see Josh Halloway be killed off by the rattle snake. He was a good character to have on there as the "villain." Still like my idea as him being Sonny Crockett on a new Miami Vice.

Ya. I have liked Josh since he was in Lost.

I think that Miami Vice was one of the best shows in the 80s. I was hoping they'd do a remake of that show.

I remember Vice was on at 10:00 PM on Friday nights. It was a classic for sure.

I liked how Sonny Crockett would use the alias of Sonny Burnett when undercover. Not much of a disguise there.

I liked Saundra Santiago. She was also on the Sopranos and played twin sisters.. the Cusamanos.

I had to look up that actress. She played in a lot of shows, even Gotham.
