To Deanna -Keeping my presence on the old HOF PB

Could you grant me access to post on the old HOF Penalty Box? When I try (the past few days) it says I can't post to that forum. However, Spartacus can post there and has replied to older posts there. Also, the news updates keep on posting.

Thanks.

Already done. I'll check on those news updates. They shouldn't be doing anything.

I told Spartacus to register over here. I actually didn't have to register at Cybatrons, it accepted my handle and PW.

I registered you so I could set up your RSS feeds for you.

Everything is encrypted, but since both systems are Beehive, I was able to cut and paste what was needed to get your basic registration done for you.

If he wants, I could do the same for Spartacus.

None of the information is revealed in readable format. It just looks like gibberish.

I let Sparts know that he may have to register. I'm sure he's done it many times in the travels of the Penalty Box. LOL

I transferred over Spartacus and Lewport for them. They should be able to login with the same creds as they use at hof.

Have them let me know if they have any problems.

If you let me know which folders you want moved, I'll get to work on shifting over the contents. I'll use the system admin tag of Puck for it. :)

Are there any other members you'd like transferred over? If so, I'll need their usernames. Like your username is RAZZMAN, but your nickname is Razz.

I'll let you know what folders or threads are the most important. I did some, but right now is a very busy time of the year. Between trying to keep the critters from eating my tomato and bean plants, watering and trying to keep my pool algae free, my free time is rare. Probably in a few weeks I'll start copying some threads over. I see you have all the folders here that I had at the old PB, so that helps.

Well just let me know what you need.

You want to keep critters out of your veggies without using chemicals? Get some hot peppers and garlic and grind them up real tiny. I mean really pulverize them into juice. Make a mix about half water and half your garlic hot pepper mix. Shake it real good, then put it in a spray bottle and spray it on and around your plants. It'll keep most, if not all out of them, even deer.

The mix targets both their nose and taste buds. Offending them both. Painfully at times. :)

It won't actually hurt them, but they won't be eating your veggies. It'll even drive off and keep at bay a lot of harmful bugs. :)

I think I heard of that before. Will have to get some of those ingredients at the store this weekend. Thanks.

I tried that mixture. Actually used Jalapeno peppers, and put some dish soap for a sticking mixture. Unfortunately, it poured hard the next day. I still have a little left, and will save that for when there's no rain in the forecast for a while.

I'd watch the dish liquid. Some of them have chemicals in them like formaldehyde, and that can kill your plants and poison whatever fruit or vegetable your growing. Read what is in it and make sure there is nothing toxic in it, or you could end up either killing your plants or making yourself sick.

If you need something for stick, try something like vegetable oil, or something else you know you can already eat.

Don't use something like dish liquid. You don't know what you might be doing to your plants and yourself.

I'll have to check the contents of that bottle. Didn't put much in the solution. Still have some left, will probably spray it on the flowers. LOL

I think I know what you mean about hackers on the old HOF forums. I tried to get on my HOF PB and was greeted by a different site all together, Imortal Eventide. It isn't even on the hanginoutforums.org site, but this is what I get...

http://cybatrons.org/dpdens/forums/index.php?webtag=EVENTIDE

And I can't even log on. My HOF link is here...

On the flowers would be okay, unless they're flowers you can eat and plan to do so. :)

It should be fixed. I had a redirect set up to lead people from my old hof forum to my new cybatrons subsite, but appears the redirect doesn't recognize the whole url. I've removed it. It should be okay now. I've been into hof since removal and didn't have any issues.

Wasn't a hack. Just a something didn't work the way I thought it would. My bad. Sorry about that Hon.

I never said HOF was hacked. The database was damaged by misuse. Some people did some things they were told not to and they stressed the database in ways it wasn't built to handle. The result, it made a mess for all the forums on that system.

Subsites are completely independent. So they're unaffected by what happens at the HOF forums. If a subsite owner does something and messes up their setup, it won't affect anyone else's subsite.

These things are usually caused by new people just slapping things around while trying to learn. We're thinking of using the hof setup as a learning platform to get people ready for subsites. It could be helpful.
